On the Monday following Memorial Day, June 1, 2009 the American Gold Star Mothers and several other groups were invited, by the Veterans Administration to breakfast at the White House. The President was very gracious and spent time with each table greeting many of the moms personally and posing for quite a few pictures as you can see below.

This group is of special interest to Gold Star Families. They are from the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center at Dover AFB in Delaware where many of our loved ones first arrived home. The mission of AFMAO is "dignity, honor and respect for the fallen; care, service and support for their families." New Mortuary Center.
