The 2007 Gold Star Mother's Weekend events will take place on Saturday, Sept 29 through Monday Oct 1 in Washington DC

Thursday September 27th

National Board of Directors arrival and check in at headquarters.

Friday September 28th

National Board of Directors meeting at headquarters.

Saturday September 29th

1:30 PM Meeting: Executive Board, Past National Presidents, and Department Presidents meet at headquarters.

7:00 PM Banquet NCO Club, Spates Hall, Fort Myer; $28 per person.
RESERVATIONS required--CHECK needs to be at Headquarters by SEPT 10th.

Sunday September 30th

8:00 AM Vietnam Wall—everyone invited. Gold Star Flower Wreath laying.
1:00 PM Depart for Arlington National Cemetery.
2:00 PM Ceremony. (Rain, possibility of service at the Chapel, Fort Myer]
3:00 PM Tomb of the Unknown- National President places wreath.
4:00 PM OPEN HOUSE at National Headquarters.

Monday October 1st
Tour to be announced.

Remember: The National Board comes in on Thursday Sept 27th and meets all day Friday the 28th. Please remember to bring your cookies for the afternoon reception scheduled for Sunday and to be enjoyed by all the veterans and guests who will come to our open house.

Marriott Parking is available for an additional $25.00 per night.

Please call Headquarters 202-265-0991 to let them know you plan to stay at the Normandy. Parking at the Marriott hotel will be an additional $25.00 per night.

The National Board comes in on Thursday Sept 27th and meets all day Friday the 28th. Please remember to bring at least 2 dozen cookies for the reception scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The veterans love their cookies.


The 2005 Gold Star Mothers Sunday events took place on Saturday, Sept 24 through Monday, Sept 26.
