Hampton Roads Chapter

Betty Queener was also presented with an Honor and Remember flag at our June 6 meeting. Betty was President of the Hampton Roads Chapter but moved to Arizona the following weekend.

Hampton Roads members with congressman Glenn Nye.  Congressman Nye presented our chapter with an American flag that was flown over the capitol at our June 6, 2009 meeting. 

Our chapter was invited to Fort Monroe by Chaplain Swartz to attend the National Day of Remembrance and prayer breakfast for 9-11. Above, from left to right, are Mrs. Valcourt, Mona Gunn, Darlene Kelly, Lt. General David Valcourt, Martha Ann Consolvo, and Tina Houchins. Lt. General Valcourt was the main speaker and then presented bibles and Fort Monroe coins to the Gold Star Mothers.
