been a long
time member of the Camden Chapter of the Dept. of NJ,

May, 2011. Cindy Malmo (center), one of our
members, presents a check to
VFW Post 2179 from her
group of PSEG employees. The money will go to
aid
veterans in the NJ area.
Boy Scout Camporee, May 21, 2011
Thanks to all the Gold Star Moms and their
families that attended the Boy Scout Camporee on May
21, 2011 at the National Guard Training Center in
Sea Girt, NJ. Yes, there were 8,000 Boy Scouts
registered for the event, plus another 2,000
counting the National Guard, State Police, Security
and Guests. They focused on the Gold Star Families
and they treated us well. There was a reception at
4:00 PM, Dinner at 5:00 and then the Sat. night
closing out on the grounds. What a sight!!!!

St Patricks Day Parade March 12, 2011
We had a better turnout for the St. Patricks Day
Parade, 3/12/11, in Seaside Heights. Jack Young and
Jon Hicks, our Gold Star Dads carried the flags. As
usual we were treated very well.
The David Reible Event at The Breakers in Spring
Lake was most enjoyable. Cindy Malmo, Joan Curtin,
Suzette DeTulio, Eileen Daly and I met very nice
people and we heard more about the license plate program, etc.

The Candlelight Vigil that Rolling Thunder Chapter
2, NJ hosted April 30th was beautiful. The music,
the speakers, the bagpipers, the picture displays
and the refreshments were excellent.
